I appreciated that the book had solid, concrete illustrations of what works to dismantle poverty as well as laying out the history of why the US has such high tolerance for high rates of poverty.
I am usually somewhat on time with my reports for clients, but there is a next steps report I have owed one client for a year at this point. I’m finally writing it (you’ll have it by Monday; you know who you are, and I’m sorry). And I’m approaching it a little differently because of all the noise right now about whether DEI should happen at all.
You may have read my piece last week about right-wing attacks on DEI; this week, I want to look at the reality with which we must contend, that DEI initiatives aren’t always effective. Here, from my vantage point, is why.
